<hi style=afpcap>A Lockheed Martin F-16C Fighting Falcon of the 74th Fighter Squadron, 23rd Wing, from Pope AFB, North Carolina. This Air Force composite wing flies Hercules transports, Warthog anti-tank jets, and Falcons. The two dark cylinders under the air intake belong to the Martin-Marietta LANTIRN (Low Altitude Navigation and Targeting Infrared for Night) system, which includes AAQ-14 targeting pod (right) and AAQ-13 navigation pod (left) and which enables the aircraft to attack at low level at night. The Fighting Falcon also carries an electronic countermeasures pod and an air-to-surface missile. The teeth on the nose signify the 23rd Wing's lineage to the "Flying Tigers" of World War II.</hi>
